    Geppetto's Musical Tale

Freedom Train
    Celebrate the Human Spirit

Follow Harriet Tubman "conductor" of the Underground Railroad as she leads her people on an escape route up creek beds, through swamps and up hills in the dark of night. Freedom Train, the story of self-sacrifice, dedication and survival, is laced with warmth and a sense of humor.  Theatreworks USA incorporates dance, dialogue and songs of the period Wade in the Water, Good News and Chariot's A-Comin' in this universal story that celebrates the human spirit. (Grades 3-9)

Attend the royal ball and meet the Prince as the charm and elegance of a magical fairy tale is reborn with this 1997 Rodgers and Hammerstein stage adaptation of Cinderella, which starred Brandy as Cinderella and Whitney Houston as her Fairy Godmother. The captivating musical, adds warmth and a touch of hilarity to transport a new generation to the enchanting kingdom of dreams-come-true. (Grades K-8)

Junie B. Jones
   Top Secret Personal Beeswax Journal

The outspoken, precocious, loveable Junie B. Jones stars in a colorful, funny, fast-paced musical about new friends, new glasses, sugar cookies, the annual kickball tournament and other angst-ridden situations. Follow her adventures as she writes down the story of her life in her Top Secret Beeswax Journal. This Theatreworks USA musical is based on four volumes of Barbara Park's Junie B. Jones series of books.  (Grades K-5)
