Strafford Wind Symphony

Celebrating the Rochester Opera House Centennial!

The fifty-five member ensemble meets weekly to rehearse at the Rochester Middle School. While many members are professional music educators, the majority of the musicians hold traditional nine to five jobs ranging from Pharmacist to Engineer. They perform with the Symphony for the experience of playing with others who share their passion for music. Members travel from all over New Hampshire, as far south as Massachusetts, and from areas of southern Maine to perform with the ensemble. The group has played at a variety of venues across New England including Wolfeboro, N.H., and Ocean Park, Me. It has been selected ten times as a participant in the Boston Festival of Bands held annually at Fanueil Hall Marketplace. Each year it supports the National "Music in our Schools" month by holding concerts specially geared toward young musicianship.

MDT as Elvis

A Tribute to the King of Rock and Roll

MDT as Elvis (aka Dennis Thornberry)recreates the look, voice and phenomenon that was Elvis Presley in his prime. MDT as Elvis has audiences everywhere right in the palm of his hand. MDT's tribute to Elvis transports the audience to a time when the King of Rock-N-Roll ruled the entertainment world.

Raised in Dallas TX, MDT began impersonating and studying Elvis as soon as he could talk and read. MDT has spent most of his life in the entertainment world as a Disc Jockey and M.C. His tribute to Elvis came to life on the 50th anniversary of the recording of "That's Alright Momma" on July 5th, 2004. Since then, he has taken his tribute across the country performing in Arizona, Las Vegas, Branson and Florida.

His shows are designed to Rock and Roll with the guys and romance the ladies entertaining everyone.

This show not only pays tribute to some great songs of the past, but also pays tribute to the spirit and heart of Elvis Presley that truly made him the King of Rock and Roll.
