The New England Fiddle Ensemble

Enjoy an eclectic evening of music with The New England Fiddle Ensemble. Consisting of approximately 160 musicians of all ages and abilities, ensemble members play a variety of acoustic instruments: fiddle, guitar, banjo, mandolin, upright bass, harp, accordion, and more! Concert goers will hear tunes from a mix of genres including Celtic, Swing, Bluegrass, Folk, Blues, Country, and Cajun.

The New England Fiddle Ensemble encourages, teaches, and creates opportunities for musicians of all ages to broaden their musical horizons. Members learn to play different styles of music by ear (the traditional way) and are offered various creative avenues to explore improvisation, soloing, creating arrangements, and singing; all within a supportive group environment.

The New England Fiddle Ensemble brings community together in other ways by partnering with local non-profits and playing benefit concerts for them, and the newly launched program, the Acoustic Roots Orchestra, gives school-aged musicians the opportunity to play traditional styles of music together. Ensemble members include children, parents, grandparents, cousins, neighbors, teachers, and friends working together to build strong connections with each other and often continue to play together. The New England Fiddle Ensemble looks forward to continuing their mission of “Bringing Community Together through Music.”
